THE INTERVIEW
What made you want to partner with BabyGold™?
I wanted to partner with Baby Gold because I love that they are a family-owned brand based in LA! They have so many cute pieces, and I appreciate how they truly care about the quality of their items. Growing up in my family-owned restaurant, I have a special place in my heart for family businesses. Helen is the definition of a boss, and I love that her daughter was also present during our shoot day! Involving my kids in the shoot was so fun, and I can’t wait to see how everything turns out!
What’s the best Mother’s Day gift you’ve ever received?
I can’t think of a Mother’s Day gift, but I feel like one that’s similar is the push present I received when I delivered the twins! Mel [my husband] got me the cutest green Goyard tote that I still use almost daily.
What’s the most rewarding part of being a mom?
The most rewarding part of being a mom is knowing that anything I achieve is for my children. I used to find the answer corny from parents before I became a parent myself 😂, but now I get it. Becoming a mother, and knowing I have three little ones that look up to me, gave me a whole new sense of purpose. They really are my motivation.
What’s the most challenging part of being a mom?
I think being a working mom can be challenging at times. It can be hard to find balance, and then mom guilt kicks in. I always say men never have to feel bad for working, but as a woman, there’s societal pressure and stigma. I’m really blessed with what I do, and I appreciate collaborations like this one where I can involve my family. They had so much fun being on set, and we will cherish these photos forever.
What’s your favorite way to spend your “me time” when you need a little break from work and mom-life?
My ideal day for some me time always starts with a workout. I love going to Pilates or going on a long walk while listening to my audiobook. Then I like to hit the sauna, get a fresh blowout, have lunch at a cute cafe, and just chill. And I mean CHILL. My biggest struggle is that it’s very hard for me to relax. I like to do a lot of things, and it’s hard for me to sit still. I love going on road trips, traveling to new places, trying new restaurants, etc. But when I really need to recharge, I know I need to lay down and try to clear my mind. I have to keep my phone away from me too, or else I’ll find something I need to handle, lol.
What’s your personal jewelry style? Do you prefer dainty or statement jewelry?
I would say it depends on the occasion. I love dainty for everyday wear, but I think statement pieces can be fun for special occasions when you have a particular look in mind. I just ALWAYS have to have earrings in. I feel naked without them!
THIS VS. THAT
Studs vs. Hoops?
Both!! I have 2 piercings in each ear so I like to mix & match.
Yellow Gold vs. White Gold?
Can I say both for this one too? It depends on my mood! But I guess my everyday jewelry leans more towards yellow gold.
Layered Maximalist vs. Simplistic Minimalist?
